Exploring the World of Wine: A Beginner's Guide

CLEMENT

I've been a wine enthusiast for years and I have to say, your products are truly exceptional. Great products at great value!

  • What's the best way to store unopened bottles?
Unopened bottles should be stored horizontally in a cool, dark place away from light and vibrations. The ideal temperature is between 55-60°F with 60-70% humidity. Proper storage helps prevent premature aging.
  • How should I chill wines before serving?
Reds should be chilled to around 60-65°F. For whites and rosés, chill between 45-55°F. Sparkling wines are best frosty cold at 40°F. Use a wine fridge or ice bucket for optimal temperatures.
  • How do I remove a stuck cork from a wine bottle?
Try gently inserting the bottom curve of a wine key beneath the lip of the bottle neck and twisting while applying upward pressure on the cork. As a last resort, you can run the neck under hot water briefly to expand the glass.
  • How long can I age an unopened bottle?
It depends on the wine, but most lighter styles like Pinot Noir are best consumed within 5 years. Fuller-bodied reds like Cabernet can often improve for 10+ years if stored properly. Check the producer's recommendations.
  • What are tannins and why are they important?
Tannins are naturally occurring polyphenol compounds that create the drying, almost puckery sensation in red wines. They come from grape skins/seeds/stems and help provide structure, complexity and age ability.
  • How many glasses are in a standard bottle of wine?
A 750ml bottle contains approximately 5 glasses of wine, with each glass holding around 5 fluid ounces. This can vary slightly based on pour size.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
